The Refreshing – by Linda McDaniel Smith

When the day grows old and tiring,
And recoils with the dust and the heat,
The dreams that at dawn were aspiring,
Go down in disgust and defeat.

Then a prayer that is barely a whisper,
Is dredged from the depths of my soul.
And the God of new beginnings,
Refreshes and takes control.

    • Thank you, Tammy. You are always an encourager and I love you for it. We all need encouragement, love, and support from each other. God did not mean for any of us to stand alone. I’m so glad to have you in my family circle.
